Very few people have reason to enter the lands in what is now referred to as the Bog of Souls, and even fewer have been able to survive their journey in this infested swamp. Of those few who survived, however, come uneasy tales of the evils that lurk in this desecrated ground - rumors swirl of giant monstrosities that rise from the foul dirt of this land to attack those who dare set foot in the Bog. No one knows for certain how these creatures came about, though some say that they were spawned from the maelstrom of violence that took place many generations ago, when Lightbringer and Darkbringer alike were killed in the Battle of Harvest Plains. The residual Ember magic that remains in these unsanctified corpses may have given birth to these Swamp Monsters.
